Our all-purpose household spray is made with simple ingredients that have been used for 100+ years. It is a concentrated solution that comes in a compostable and biodegradable pouch to minimize plastic waste. It can be used on appliances, countertops, sinks and bathrooms.
Pour contents of pouch into a clean (preferable unused) bottle. Add 20 oz of water. (If you add less water to make it "stronger" it will leave streaks.) If you're purchasing the larger quantity, pour 1/3 cup into empty bottle before adding water. Gently rock bottle back and forth to mix. DO NOT SHAKE! Use on hard non-porous surfaces as you would any other all purpose cleaner.
Our original formula uses peppermint and rosemary essential oils. An old wives' tale states that peppermint keeps spiders at bay. So we began using this to wipe down our counters and cabinets hoping to deter spiders during seasonal change of weather.
Rosemary essential oil is known to be anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It only made sense to us to include it as we used it mostly to clean counters and cabinet faces.

We do offer a citrus and rosemary blend as well for those that don't like peppermint. Properties in citrus oils break down grease and product build up from sinks, counters and tubs, making them fantastic oils to clean with in any room. Additionally, citrus oils are also anti-microbial and antibacterial and can help fight winter blues while filling your home with a refreshing smell.
We do recommend each time prior to using your spray, you give it a good swirl to ensure the essential oils are mixed in as they tend to pool on the top of the solution.
Full Disclosure: Borax is a natural compound. It’s a combination of boron, sodium, and oxygen. Borax is often found in dry lake beds in places like California’s Death Valley, where the water evaporated and left behind deposits of minerals. However, over the past few years it has become a controversial ingredient in the natural health world. We suspect this controversy could be a misunderstanding between the different compounds of Boron, Borax, and Boric Acid but we are not sure.
We have been using this cleaner for years and we use a very small amount of borax in our cleaner. We recommend each person do their own research.
We wanted to address this though to make you aware. Obviously, this cleaner should not be used directly on people. It should not be ingested.

Because these pouches are compostable and biodegradable, it is not recommended you store these pouches long term (more than 30 days). If you purchase multiple pouches to store, we recommend you empty them into a glass airtight jar like a mason jar. Remember to label the jar to prevent any accidental ingestion of the cleaner.
